It was a cold dark night with rain pouring down in their faces, they shivered and their teeth clattered and even though they bit down on them as hard as they could they would not stop.
They found a cave and Shi'Kai my ancestor made a fire, they stood around it drying their clothes and warming themselves ups.
Once they were dry Shi'Kai turned to her friend and said "Yan'Sky we should explore these caves it doesn't look as if the rain is going to ease up at any time soon."
They set off deeper into the cave it twisted and turned many times.
Then they could smell fire it seemed they where not the only ones who sheltered in this cave.
Shi'Kai readied her weapon they drew closer and could hear voices.
"Well if it isn't Shi'Kai and Yan'Sky what luck lads two enemy in one foul swoop." One of them shouted.
There were four of them and so they were outnumbered.
Shi'Kai ran at the first one and brought her spike down with all her strength and spilt his skull like a ripe melon.
She turned Yan'Sky, she had two at her and was hurt Shi'Kai concentrated all her power, skill and fury into the ancient attack form Whirlwind crushing the second ones Ribs and Yan'Sky quick restored her energy.
In doing so She left her back open to attack which one of them took advantage of this and struck her in the shoulder, Fury mixed with her pain and she swung her club spinning on her heal and struck him square in the throat and he fell chocking to the floor.
She turned to Yan'Sky to find she had taken care of the forth one herself Striking him with her Retribution spell which seamed to cook him where fell as though he was struck by lighting.
They staggered out of the cave to find it had stopped raining and they walked to Shi'Kai's cave and her elders gathered around them.
They told them of their battle, "You are clearly Sister's in Arms." They told them.
"You know the greatest Bonds are Forged in Blood, Pain and Sweat." They told them.
"You shall be Sister's in Blood" one of the elder's said.
The Elder drew a dagger from his belt, which later became the -dagger of kin's blood- used in all our blood oath rituals.
Shi'Kai and Yan'Sky held out their hands and each grabbed the dagger's blade and squeezed until blood dripped from their hands.
Then they shook hands and the elder placed two roughly two-inch by two-inch stones in each of their hands and they became stained by the blood making them red.
The elder gave Shi'Kai the dagger and inscribed her name on the stone and gave it to Yan'Sky.
She then inscribed her name on the other stone and gave it to Shi'Kai and the dagger back to the elder.
They then placed the stone in front of them and the dagger stabbed in the earth in front of the Elder.
The other elder's gathered around and worked there magic's chanting as they went.
The two stones glowed as a little of Shi'Kai and Yan'Sky's life energy was drained from them and infused into the stone's.
Then it was done and from then on one was never without the other as a little of them was within the stone and one would always find them for the stone would guide them.
Shi'Kai and Yan'sky was Sister's from then on a Bond made in Blood to last a lifetime.
This is the Story that was passed though my family as to the first Blood Oath Ritual ever performed many will say it is a Myth I say it is a Legend that will forever be told to any who wish to hear it.
