Sheep have a symbol, a connotation if you will, that imply followers.  With a Sheep, there's almost always a Shephard.  This idea can be worked into Barbarian beliefs.  Townies act very much like Sheep do... they follow the majority mindlessly, they do not exercise free will, they conform!  Barbarians place themselves outside the reaches of the influence of these Townies to avoid falling victim to the affects of mob mentality.  In a way, Barbarians act as a Shephard to the lost Sheep.  When Townies doubt their ways, many look to the Barbarians as leaders, not just rebels, but people that see how life really is and are free to act as they please, not as everyone else says to act.  Therefore, a Spirit Sheep within our Circle would forever remind us of our role in life, that Sheep are always present, and we must continue to either guide them, or remove ourselves from their presence.
